Hi,
I had to re-install IIS for an unrelated development issue.
As a result, I now need to re-register reporting services (and its webs
etc) in IIS.
I can't seem to do this through simply "Add/Remove" because I get the
error:
"The setup failed to read IIsMimeMap table. The error code is
-2147024893"
Does anyone have any ideas on how to proceed?
Many thanks for your feedback!

There are a few posted workarounds. Google for your error message - you have
several to choose from.
Good luck.

reinstall iis on reports server
Hi everybody
I need to reinstall iis after using it for sometime as reports server.
What is the easiest way to reinstall iis without redeveloping existing
reports?
Can I backup the reportsserver and reports sites and return them in to iis
after it had been reinstalled?
Will i need to reinstall reporting services as well'
Thanks alot
ReaReportserver use an SQL Server database for its repository.
So you can reinstall IIS without problem.
just recreate the reportserver (and reports) virtual folder after you
reinstallation.
Also, with IIS6, you can save the virtual folder config in an XML file, and
after, you can recreate the virtual folder from this XML file.
if you uninstall reportserver, then its different, the SQL Server database
is not deleted, so you have to reuse it during your reinstallation process..

asp.net worker process runs as a different user after reinstalling IIS you
will want to reimport the key.
