Registering a server...

In the past I registered my server with EM no problem, until this morning I
was playing around with it,
*why fix something when it's not broke... Beats head against wall!
This machine is called OFFICE and in the past the server worked fine but
somehow I change the access of it from windows login to another option and
now I cannot get it registered again, I keep getting this:
Connection failure etc...
SQL Server does not exist or access denied.
ConnectionOpen (Connect())
In cmd in have pinged OFFICE and it comes back no problem, I'm thinking
therefore it must be something to do with the login? But I'm using windows
protocol... surelly that's ok?
Please help I'm going out of my mind!
Did you try changing the connection type to "Use Windows Authentication" and
retry?

does anyone know why registered servers regularly disappear
from SQL 2000 Enterprise Manager, and is there a fix for this problem?There's a KB article that may help ...
